When are Mansafe systems required?
It is a commonly held belief ALL commercial / industrial roofing that requires anyone to be working at height should have some form of mansafe system installed. They are designed for fall restraint, (to prevent a fall occurring) but must be able to take fall arrest loading's in accordance with EN795.

There are many reasons access to a roof may be required, from resolving minor leaks, clearing blocked gutters to full roof repairs.

Mansafe systems are vital whenever there is a requirement for people to be working at height. The purpose of a mansafe system is to protect workers should a fall occur.
How often should a Mansafe system be inspected?

According to WAHR (Work at Height Regulations), any fall arrest system must be inspected for integrity and compliance at least once every 12 months & some systems every 6 months
Due to their installation location, the weather conditions can have an impact on the integrity of the roof safety wire system.
